Pondicherry

Pondicherry was French till the 50s. There still is a French presence. Nearly half of the colonial town is populated by white people.

Renewed park. It used to be dirty as you can imagine it in India. The city now is very clean and there are lots of public works undertaken by the local government, which I have never seen anywhere else in India. I guess this is partly due to uncorrupted local officials doing what they are supposed to, which is extremely rare.
